WEEK 6 – WAY Out There
It's natural, and important, to remember important events. Birthdays, anniversaries, victories, and losses all are worth remembering because they tie us to the past while pointing us to the future. On the night before he was crucified, Jesus and his followers celebrated Passover. It was a chance to remember God's faithfulness in the past, but Jesus redefined it and tied it to the future vindication of His work and the future reign of His Kingdom. Every time we participate in Communion, we remember what Jesus has done with a fresh hope for what he will do in the future.
