POWERED TO GO

Have you ever been given a job to do, but you didn’t have the strength to do it? At work, at school, in life in general that’s a tough reality to face. But it’s not new. In the book of Acts, we see that Jesus gave His followers a mission they could never fulfill in their own strength. But, before He sent them out, He promised them power through the Holy Spirit. Pentecost is the moment that promise was fulfilled, and the mission of the church began to move forward. The same Spirit who empowered the first believers still empowers us today to go, to witness, and to tell what God has done. The mission is ours, but the power is His.
