Part 5: In Over Your Head

We have all found ourselves in situations where we felt like we were in over our heads. Sometimes we get there because of our own choices. Sometimes we are caught in circumstances we did not create. And sometimes, like the disciples, we end up in the storm because we were obeying Jesus in the first place. But Matthew 14 reminds us that the waves which terrify us are still beneath Him. Jesus comes to His disciples in the middle of the storm, walking on the very thing they fear. And when Peter begins to sink, Jesus does not shame him; He reaches for him. Whatever feels over your head is already under His feet. He is Lord over the storm, Lord over the waves, and Lord over the places where we feel like we are going under.
